Fabulous New Villas in Belize

Ambergris Caye is the number one destination in Belize, a sliver of an island 25 miles long but no more than one mile across at its widest point. It's not that far off distance-wise from the coast of Belize, but seems so isolated in time that it's like a week's boat ride was required to get here. Blissful vacationers have the ancient Maya to thank for that: while Ambergris Caye is geographically an extension of Mexico's Yucatan peninsula, its original inhabitants cut a channel through the land to facilitate maritime trade routes. The result? A place that rivals the Yucatan's beauty but is reminiscent of less developed days in centuries past. Cars are a rare sight here, for example; people get around in golf carts, mainly, and San Pedro (the only real "town") is still laced with streets of sand.

A common pool overlooks the ocean, private massages and other spa treatments are available and a world-class chef is on hand to prepare meals to enjoy in-villa.
