Where Do Celebs Stay? We Can't Say Who, But…
We won't name names, but celebs love these villas most
By Heather Whipps
So we've booked some celebrities (can't say who). Some big ones (sorry). While we'd never drop names (really, never), we can say where they've stayed. If you want to live like a star (though we can't say who), if only for a little while, here's where to stay (don't try to get it out of us)…
Xpu-Ha, Mexico
Celebrities who like clean and sleek like Xpu-Ha, an all-frills but barefoot villa on the best beach in the Riviera Maya. They're spoiled by a 47-acre buffer zone, too many amenities to list and a permanent staff of eight.
Cerulean, Anguilla
This massive beachfront home is the favorite of one very well-known Hollywood actor. It's one of ours too. For the ultimate lounge villa, do-nothing-and-not-care villa, few can match Cerulean.
Fustic House, Barbados
A famous actress tied the knot on the lush grounds of Fustic House, a camera-shy estate hidden in the hills of northwestern Barbados. Celebs love its extremely private setting and understated, plantation-house elegance. The villa's chef is also famous, for his home made ice creams (sorry, that recipe is a secret too).
Au Soleil, St. Barts
The famous and well-heeled lose all notions of decorum when it comes to being the first to reserve Au Soleil, St. Barts' most well-positioned villa. Au Soleil sits on a hill and has an infinity pool that seems to pour right into the Caribbean.
Musha Cay, Bahamas
Musha Cay is the granddaddy of all celebrity hideaways. This private island in the Bahamas has sheltered stars from the music and movie worlds and up to 24 of their closest friends. At that, the staff members still outnumber the guests. For people whose privacy comes at a premium, Musha Cay's 150 acres of sandy beach is the perfect velvet rope.
Your Own Posse
Celebrities usually travel around with their own entourage of personal assistants, chefs and other random hangers-on. When you come to these villas, you don't have to because they're already there. Excepting Au Soleil, all of the villas listed above offer a staff of at least eight. |
